Rear-View Mirrors
Rear-view mirrors are some of the earliest used automotive mirrors. Typically placed at the top and center of a vehicle’s windshield, rear-view mirrors allow you to see other vehicles directly behind you.
Side-view Mirrors
Usually installed on the front doors/a-pillars or roll bar/cage, side view mirrors give a clear view of other vehicles to the side and rearward of your vehicle. Side-view mirrors are crucial when changing lanes and merging.
Blind Spot Mirrors
Car mirrors used to augment the view of your side-view mirrors and allow you to see vehicles that may be closer to your rear corners and out of the view of your side-view mirror.
Finding the Best UTV/Side-by-Side Mirror for You
Consider factors such as:
Mounting Method: Make sure the type of mounts on the mirror is compatible with your vehicle. The diameter of the roll bar/cage on a side-by-side varies between make/model, locations, and with many series or newer UTVs utilizing non-tubular shaped pro-fit or profiled bars.
Additional Functions: Some mirrors would come with additional functions such as running lights, turn signals, chase lights, or even off-road lights to further increase the visibility for you and other drivers. Be sure to put some thought into how these additional functions will be utilized and controlled.
